Application & Function
Hypophosphorous acid 6303-21-5 is a colorless liquid, soluble in water, ethanol and diethyl ether. It is a strong reducing agent. Exposed to the air, Hypophosphorous acid gets easily oxidized. Heated to 130℃, it breaks into phosphorous acid and phosphine. It reacts explosively with oxidant.
Used for alkyd resin Antioxidant Moisturizer.
Used for reducing agent;
Used to produce hypophosphite salts, sodium hypophosphite, calcium hypophosphite, manganese hypophosphite, and ferric hypophosphite, etc.
